With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilda C. Viveiros of Fall River, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Duarte P. Viveiros; her parents, Francisco and Conceicao DeViveiros (Mateus); her son Raimundo; and her siblings, Manuel, Maria, Helena, Jose and Antonio.
She is survived by: her children, Duarte Viveiros (Connie) of North Dartmouth, Odalia Oliveira (Joao), Ana Raposa (Arthur) of Fall River, Antonio Viveiros (Helen) of Swansea, Jorge Viveiros (Armanda), Brigida Viveiros of Dartmouth and Joao Viveiros (Kimberly) of Somerset; her daughter-in-law Helen Viveiros; her grandchildren, Kevin, Derek, Kenny, Steven, Stacey, Ariana, Manuel, Jason, Peter and Eric; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Logan, Wilson, Emily, Brea, Haven, Amelia, Mia, Luca and Lorenco. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Espirito Santo Church (311 Alden St, Fall River, MA 02723).
