He was predeceased by: his father Hercualno Chaves; his brother Dennis Chaves; and his grandparents, Antonio Freitas Braga, Fransisco Chaves and Virginia Soares.
He is survived by: his mother Maria N. Chaves (Braga); his brother Tony Chaves; and his grandmother Maria Da Gloria Sousa. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home (350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, MA 02780). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lord Catholic Church (31 1st St, Taunton, MA 02780).
