Herman Souza Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Souza of Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 16, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Rose M. Souza (Martin); his parents, Frank Souza and Jenny Souza (Santos); and his brother Joseph Souza. He is survived by: his children, Gale M. Powers (William) of Fall River, Michael J. Souza (Darlene) of Swansea and James M. Souza of Fall River; his sister Helen Medeiros of Somerset; his grandchildren, Ava Rose and Michael Nelson; and his brother Frank Souza. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I will always remember Mr. Souza. A true gentleman. . Going into the bakery alone was always a pleasure as he would honor me with his presence at the table I sat at. As I ate wonderful homemade pastry and drank the best coffee in town , he would engage in wonderfully lively discussion. His memory is a treasure and will surely be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. May his family and friends take comfort in knowing the comfort and wisdom that he gave to those around him.”
