Janice L. Chew Obituary

Janice L. (Clarke) Chew, 79, of Fall River, passed away on, Friday, February 11, 2011, at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center, in Fall River. She was the wife of sixty-one years to Frederick Chew. Janice as born, in Fall River, the daughter of the late Walter M. and Doris E. (Cobb) Clarke. She devoted her life to raising her family.

Mrs. Chew enjoyed knitting, giving advice, reading and watching movies. Survivors are a daughter: Linda L. Mello, of Fall River, MA; a son: Bruce L. Chew, of Fall River, MA; a sister Joan Brush, of Swansea, MA; a brother: Warren Clarke, of Swansea, MA. Janice was the beloved grandmother of Derek and Douglas Mello; great-grandmother of Ben, Kellie, Elise, Lucas and Colin; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Gladys Lacy, Norma D'Arruda, Barbara Marques, Beverly Astle, Russell, Walter and Ronald Clarke.
