She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Papoula; her parents, Francisco Resendes and Maria Julia Almeida; her son Al Papoula; her grandson Joshua Papoula; and her siblings, Honorina Marcelino, Manuel Pimentel, Mariano Resendes, Joao Resendes, Luis Resendes, Venancio Resendes, Francisco Resendes and Duarte Resendes.
She is survived by: her children, Luisa Lopes (Daciel) of Swansea, Manuel Papoula (Tina) of Westport and Robert Papoula of Fall River; her grandchildren, Adam Lopes, Melissa Botelho (Eric) and Monica Papoula; and her great grandchild Myka Botelho. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
