She was predeceased by: her husband Antone Mello (Tony); her parents, John Linhares and Maria Linhares (Sadie); and her siblings, John Linhares, Dorothy Pimental, Joseph Linhares and Rita Venafro.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Laing (Lawrence) of Quincy, Karen Walsh (Shaun) of Marion, Lori O'Neil (Brian) of Dartmouth, Dr. Douglas Mello (Lisa) of Dartmouth, Carl Mello (Susan) of Mansfield and Kristen Gauvin (Paul) of Fall River. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
During the Covid pandemic, she made and gave away thousands of handmade face masks.
