He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Natal Tavares and Maria Conceicao Tavares (Martins Doval); and his sister Maria Manuela Tavares. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Tavares (Costa); his family, Sarah McEvoy (Robert) of Newport and Daniel J. Tavares of Fall River; his granddaughters, Leah McEvoy and Kate McEvoy; and his siblings, Manuela Simoes (Carlos) of Dighton, Antonio M. Tavares of Fall River, Natalia E. Lourenco (Paulo) of Fall River and Arthur M. Tavares (Ana) of Fall River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (189 Essex St, Fall River, MA 02720).
