He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Shields (Bouvier); his parents, Charles Shields and Ivanalina Shields (Young); and his son Kenneth R. Shields, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Shields-Barao (Bert) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Eric Shields, Bryan Shields, Carrie Ann Shields and Ethan Shields; his siblings, Neil Shields of New Jersey and Henrieta Van of Waghe; and his children, Robin R. Shields and Marc A. Shields. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
