She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel C. Gomes; and her parents, John A. Medeiros and Marianna Medeiros (Pereira). She is survived by: her children, Joan Rodrigues of Dighton and Steven Gomes (Gina) of Dartmouth; her granddaughter Erin Phelps (James) of Clearwater, Florida; and her sister Mary Arruda of Fall River. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
