He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julia Tavares; his parents, Manuel Tavares and Anjos Tavares (Ferreira); his son Humberto Silva Tavares (Jennifer) of Rehoboth; his siblings, Lurdes Tavares (late Antonio Lapa) of New Hampshire and Fatima Tavares Araujo (Fernando) of Canada; his grandchildren, Cole Tavares and Julia Tavares; and his siblings, Julberto Tavares (late Maria Jose Tavares), Jose Tavares (Eduarda Tavares), Fernanda Tavares and Erene Tavares (late Joao Souza). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
