She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio Farias; her father Manuel of Sousa; and her son Carlos Sousa Farias. She is survived by: her mother Maria of Estrella Melo; and her children, Maria Estrella Farias, Durval Farias (Albertina) and Gabriella Farias (Liberal). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
