We are sad to announce that, on March 16, 2026, at the age of 99, Mary Lafontaine of Fall River, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Lafontaine to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to Mary's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Francis N. Lafontaine; and her parents, Antone Avilla and Rosa Avilla (Borges). She is survived by: her daughter Dianne Wheeler (James) of Clifton, Colorado; her granddaughter Susan Relaford (Scott); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Keri and Dylan of Hays, Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
