He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Pires and Luciana Pires (Cruz). He is survived by: his wife Clara; his children, Jacqueline Medeiros (Roberto), Emanuel Pires (Lydia) and Rosa Cunha (Steve); his siblings, Antonio Pires, Joaquina Coelho, Mena Gomes, Filipe Pires and Jose Pires; and his grandchildren, Gabriela, Anthony, Parisch, Arianna, Brayden, Vincent, Gabriel and Samuel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
