He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Couto and Evangelina Couto (Moniz); his grandson Evan; and his siblings, Jose, Jorge, Edward and Maria Couto.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Natalia Couto (Torres); his sons, Jeffrey Couto (Tania), Brian Couto (Melinda Vieira) and Scottie Couto (Christina); his grandchildren, Brianna, Alexandria, Jace, Kai, Arianna and Christian; and his siblings, Arthur Couto, Evangelina Amaral and Gilbert Couto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
