She was predeceased by: her husband Fernando O. Aguiar; her parents, Antonio Canto and Maria Canto (Viveiros); her son Antonio Aguiar (Fatima) of Fall River; and her sister Sara Almeida.

She is survived by: her children, Natalie Vasconcelos of Fall River and Luis Aguiar (Rosa) of Fall River; her brothers, Manuel and Luis Canto of Canada; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Kimberly, Justin, Nathan and Alexandra; and her great grandchildren, Nina, Jose Jr., Aelyn, Acein, Amias and Ajay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
