While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vavala and Elisa Vavala (DeMarco); his siblings, Bruno Vavala, Vivian Talbot and Louis Vavala; and his nephew Jack Vavala.
He is survived by: his friend Fernando Sousa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and many friends.
