He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Lavoie (Holleran) and Nelson Lavoie. He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Marshall (John), Brian Lavoie and Derek Lavoie; his siblings' children, John Marshall III and Jessica Marshall (Zachary Pilcher); his great-niece Avery Pilcher; and his close friend Philomena Remy.
