He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hoenigke and Irene Hoenigke (White); his sister Johanne Plante; and his wife Jo-Anne M. Committo (Peckham). He is survived by: his children, Christine C. Homen (David) and Craig Committo (Christine); his granddaughters, Emma and Leah Committo; and his siblings, Cathy McCormick (Michael) of Tiverton, Charles Hoenigke of Florida and Curtis Hoenigke of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
