Stephen A. Mello Obituary
We announce the death of Stephen A. Mello (Fall River, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 72. Stephen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Stephen will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Stephen will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Stephen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Majcher (Rapoza) and Arthur S. Mello. He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Mello (Dias); his children, Stephen A. Mello, Jr. and Stephanie A. Casey (Stephen); his grandchildren, Kamryn, Isabelle and Abigail; and his brother Louis Majcher. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (48 16th St, Fall River, MA 02723).
