She was predeceased by: her spouses, Jules Tardif and Girard Caouette; her parents, Elie Messier and Leontine Messier (Gendreau); and her siblings, Donald Messier, Juliette Faris, Colette Messier, Therese Messier, Cecile Messier, Andre Messier and Paul Messier.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Caouette (Daniel O'Brien) and Ronald Caouette (late Terry); her grandchildren, Lannon Goslin, Samuel and Abbie Caouette; and her sister Claire Allard (late Joseph). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
