He was predeceased by: his wife Susan L. MacKenzie; and his parents, Kenneth and Lorraine MacKenzie. He is survived by: his daughter Amy Facey; his son-in-law Eric Facey; his grandchildren, Jack of Amherst, NH, Rachael of Amherst, NH and Seth of Amherst, NH; his sister Mary Ann; his brother-in-law Richard Kasprzak of Hampton Falls, NH; his nieces, Leslie Beckemeyer and Allison Kasprzak; his nephew Andrew Kasprzak; and his close friend Juliette Peters. He is also survived by his family, friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the John Wesley United Methodist Church (270 Gifford St, Falmouth, MA 02540).

“It was always a pleasure to sit and talk with Dick during the Church social hour each fall when I came home to the Cape . Both Dick and Sue helped guide me on my spiritual journey starting with my Tres Dias weekend. I joined the church the same Sunday with them. I learned so much from Dick on how to make Christmas wreaths and care for plants. Dick, Sue may you both find peace and comfort in the loving arms of our Lord. Goodbye for now!”
