He is survived by : his children, Michael Luis Vera, Thomas Labaw and Dr. Jacqueline Rose Velez; his son-in-law Dr. Miguel Velez III; his granddaughter Elianna Ava Velez; his child Shannon Caisse; and his mother Luz Matías. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
