She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jacob Emil Westerback (Finland) and Hilma Saari; her son Peter Michael; her husband Philip Edward; her children, Kenneth (Sharon Brassard), Gary, Matthew (Laurie) and Pamela (Gregory Dolan); her grandchildren, Olivia, Evan (Colleen), Matthew Jr., Peter (Stephanie) and John (Alanah); her great grandchildren, Taylor, Bella, Logan, Carson and Ariana; her brother Richard Westerback; her sister-in-law Monica Westerback; her nieces, Lois Westerback and Sara Machemer (Jim); her great-niece Lois Sullivan (Michael); Nora Bedell.

In lieu of flowers Ellen requested donations be made in her memory to Saima Park in Fitchburg.
