It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary J. Candelet of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Candelet and Rita Candelet (Plunkett); and his brothers, Ronald Candelet and Robert Candelet. He is survived by : his wife Linda; his stepsons, David Caravella (Laura) of Branson West, MO and Kevin Caravella (Kristine) of Scituate; his brothers, Lindley Candelet (Tracy) of Mystic, CT and George Candelet (Lisa) of Pittsfield; his sisters-in-law, Lynn Candelet of North Attleboro, Louise Candelet of Fort Myers, FL and Marie Carbone of Leominster; his godchildren, Kathleen Taylor of Westminster, Anne Hickey of Stuttgart and Kelly Candelet of Mystic, CT.; and his friend Lori Brodeur of Fitchburg. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brandon Funeral Home (305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg, MA 01420). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Bernards Cemetery (96 Goodrich St, Fitchburg, MA 01420).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on line to CFNCM (Community Foundation North Central Massachusetts) for the Monty Tech Foundation Fund in honor of Gary: Monty Tech Foundation/CFNCM, 649 John Fitch Highway Fitchburg, MA 01420.
