He was predeceased by: his siblings, Patricia "Patty" Boucher of Gardner, MA, John "Butch" Mackie of Narragansett, RI and George A. Mackie of Leominster, MA; his niece Jayne-Ann Boucher; and his grandson Benjamin W. Hamel.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher "Chris" J. Mackie (Jennifer "Jen" Mackay) of Greenfield, NH, Shelby R. Hamel (William "Bill" A.), Hamel III of Brookline, NH and Ian Mackie (Meghan Glenn) of Dennis, MA; his grandchildren, Christopher W. Mackie, Rayne Mitchell-Mackie, Sara A. Mackie and Lillian I. Hamel; and his siblings, Dennis Mackie (Judy Mackie) of Franklin, MA and Carol Weston (Steve Weston) of Berlin, MA. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home (63 Elm St, Milford, NH 03055). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
