It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Wironen (Fitchburg, Massachusetts), born in Leominster, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John R. Wironen and Katherine M. Wironen (Benson); and his brothers, Rev. John Wironen and Jeffrey Wironen. He is survived by : his wife Cynthia Wironen (DiConza) of Leominster; his son Tom Wironen (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Austin, Vivienne and Alexandria Wironen; his sister Jane Geary; his sister-in-law Regina Wironen; and his brother Tom DiConza (Ellen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.

Jo-ann Bowman wrote a sympathy message

“My husband and I met Jim just once at his job at Carmax a few weeks ago. We were so impressed by his kindness and the way he shared information on the cars along with his personal touch. It seems unlikely that someone I met only once would have such an impact on us, but we felt such sadness when we heard of his passing. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. He was clearly a wonderful man. Jo-ann Bowman & Michael Snoddy”
