It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan A. Thomas of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Uuno Niemi and Alma Niemi (Luoma); and her husband George. She is survived by: her children, David Thomas (Deborah) of Shrewsbury and Nancy Thomas (Dean Larkin) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, James Thomas (Britta) of Colorado, Jennifer Thomas (Chello Gonzalez) of Fitchburg and Lauren Sweeney (Tyrie Osby) of Fitchburg; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Gonzalez, Nyla, Amelia Osby and Alessia Thomas.
