Hope in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, born in Keene, New Hampshire, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Poppenberg and Ruth E. Hope (McCoy); and his siblings, Joseph Hope, James Hope, Sr., Emile "Jack" Spiess, Jackie Boyle (Hope) and Dorothy Wyman (Spiess).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Hope; his daughters, Karen J. Hope (Jason Lavoie) of Marlborough and Kimberly S. Clark (Hope) of Marlborough; his grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Breanne and Dylan; his goddaughter Diane M. Duhaime (Spiess) of Florida; his brothers, Jerome Hope (Carmelle) of Lunenburg, MA, Jeremy Hope of Lunenburg, MA and Norman Hope Sr. of Gardner, MA; and his sister-in-law Diane Hope of Lunenburg, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John's name to any of the following: The US Veterans Administration (local or federal), The American Red Cross, The New Hampshire Food Bank, or The Frost Free Library (located in the Town of Marlborough, which he loved so much.).
