With sadness, we share the passing of Lorraine Dion (Fitchburg, Massachusetts). Lorraine, born on May 5, 1932, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Agilas Caouette and Yvonne Caouette (Rushia); her husband Francis "Pete" Dion; her siblings, Dorothy Musgrove and Robert Caouette; her daughter-in-law Wendy Dion; and her grandson Eric Dion.
She is survived by: her children, Francine Bergeron (George Bergeron) of Leominster, MA, Roger Dion (Karen) of Lunenburg, MA, Janet Wironen (Steven) of Wiscasset, ME, Jacqueline, Christine Barrett (David) of Sun City, FL and Richard Dion (Brenda) of Worcester, MA.; her grandchildren, Christine Miller, Michael Dion (Shelby), Christopher Bergeron (Andrea), Gregory Bergeron, Kelly Bergeron, Geoffrey Bergeron (Lindsay), Evan Horne, Adam Cunha (Tiffany), Nicholas Cunha (Becca), Samuel Cunha, Katelyn Kane (Mike), Matthew Barrett, Zachary Dion, Noah Dion and Casey O'Brien (Parrish); her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Joshua Dion, Tyler Miller, Ben, Jack Bergeron, Trenton, Levi Dion, Lyla Dion, Violette, Henri, Luc Bergeron, Addison Cunha and Charlotte Kane; and her son-in-law Chris Cunha (Lorraine). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home (99 Summer St, Fitchburg, MA 01420). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the TBD St. Bernard Cemetery.
