He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. Kane Jr. and Constance Kane of Fitchburg, MA.. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Kane; his children, Jennifer Jones (Daniel) of Birmingham, AL, Kwame Kane and Joshua Kane of Fitchburg; his brother Daniel; his grandson Christian Jones; his sisters, Patty Kane of Leominster and Lisa Kane of Vero Beach, FL; his nieces, Kelly Murphy, Heidi Kane and Ericka Kane; and his great-nephew Brandon Acevedo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be offered to Fitchburg Firefighters Relief Association, 33 North St. Fitchburg, MA 01420.
