We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2024, at the age of 83, Philip Daniel McDermott of Fitchburg, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Esther McDermott (Read) and Daniel J. McDermott; his brothers, James McDermott and Thomas McDermott; his brother-in-law Peter Mason; and his stepdaughter Jo-Ann Caissie.

He is survived by : his close friend Laura M. Rohrback; his son Patrick McDermott (Joanne) of Harlingen; his grandchildren, Jesse, Micah, Benjamin and Bethany McDermott of Texas; his daughter Tracy Limoges of Beverly, MA; his stepgrandson Troy Caissie; his siblings, Paul McDermott (Joan) of Fitchburg, MA, Peter McDermott (Marion) of Sterling, MA, Matthew McDermott of Cape Cod, Daniel McDermott (Debra) of Fitchburg, MA and Catherine Mason of Ashby, MA; and his former life partner Elise McDermott (Caissie) of Fitchburg, MA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
