He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo and Lydia; his siblings, Tim and Carol Koehn; and his stepmothers, Ruth and Gloria.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; and his children, Rob (Tracey), Jon (Kim), Darrell (Kirsten) and Lydia (Brennen). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
