He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Babbitt and Mattie L. Babbitt (Wellman); his wife Elizabeth "Ellen" Babbitt (McAuliffe); and his siblings, John, Dorothy and Gladys.
He is survived by: his son John Babbitt (Krysten); his grandchildren, Kayla Babbitt and James Pickering Jr.; and his children, Anne Marie Babbitt of New Hampshire and Timothy Babbitt.
