He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas T. Newman and Lynthel Newman (Butler); his significant other Helen R. Newman (Chandler); his grandson Jason J. Farias; and his siblings, John, Roland, Henry, Theodore, Harvey, Stephen, Joan and Eleanor.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie A. Newman of Naples, FL and Michael D. Newman of Baton Rouge, LA.; his grandson Justin D. Farias of Boston; and his siblings, Francis, Virginia Mayo, Dorothy Newman, Barbara Monroe (Ronald) and Carol Ogle (Ken). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
