She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Claudius Costello Grant and Mildred Ophelia Grant (Dottin); her significant other Alvin E. Thompson; her children, Alvin B. Thompson of Georgia, Hilton Thompson of Massachusetts and Hilary Thompson; her sisters, Mildred Maines, Claudine Bhatti and Ruby Braxton; her daughter-in-law Zana Thompson; her grandchildren, Letaire Thompson, Jeciena Rivera, Rhea Thompson, Rachel Thompson, Reese Thompson, Zachariah Thompson, Jack Lehman, Tejon Lehman and Gerald Turbides; her great grandchild Dominic Varnum; and her goddaughter Andrea Taylor. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
