He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W. Carter and Margaret Carter (Brillhart); and his brother Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Carter (Messana); his children, Daryl Carter (Camilla) and Kelly Barnes (Randy) of Chugiak, AK; his grandchildren, Scott Carter (Megan), Kristen Carter (Andrew Dreebin), Nicholas Barnes (Jade), Cody Barnes (Hanna) and Hailey Barnes; his great grandchildren, Bella, Colter, Cane, Nora Barnes and Colton Carter; and his brother Robert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
