He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Whitmarsh and Audrey Whitmarsh (MacLean). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. Whitmarsh (Hutt); his sons, David Whitmarsh Jr. of Franklin, MA and Adam Whitmarsh of Franklin, MA; and his sister Darlene Cerullo (Tony Cerullo) of Falmouth, MA. He is also survived by nieces & nephews and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers his family highly encourages memorial donations be made in David's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
