We announce the death of Gerasimos Gianakis of Franklin, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Gerasimos will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He is survived by: his wife Mary Brisson Gianakis; his son Alexander; his grandson Evander; and his siblings, Nick, Angelo, Kathy and Ethel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor to the Boston Red Sox Foundation.
