She was predeceased by: her husband George C. "Smokie" Sims; her parents, Joseph Rappa and Philomena Rappa (Ficco); her daughter Pamela Costello of Franklin; and her brothers, Joseph and Robert Rappa.

She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Sims of Manteca and Steven Sims (Pamela) of Franklin; her son-in-law Robert Costello of Franklin; her sister Rosemary Guilbault of Holbrook; her grandchildren, Jennifer Sims, R. J. Sims, Kristin Costello, Katie Costello, Kerri Costello, Amanda Sims, Valerie Sims and Skyler Sims; and her great grandchildren, James, Samantha Robinson, Gemma Sims and Hunter Alves.
