Joseph A. Cavossa Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph A. Cavossa Sr. of Franklin, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Lawrence Cavossa and Filomena Cavossa (DeAngelis); and his siblings, Carl Cavossa and Phyllis Engleheart. He is survived by: his wife Marie Cavossa (Puorro); his children, Jane Moore (David) of Massachusetts, Karen Boucher of Franklin, Joseph Cavossa (Rhonda) of Uxbridge and Marc Cavossa of Franklin; his grandchildren, David Moore (Molly) of Mendon, Nikki McInnis of Franklin, Mandi Rainville (Anthony Bianco) of Uxbridge, Kristy Apar (Sarkis) of Blackstone, Rikki Bertoni (Jill) of Bellingham, Joel Cavossa (Noelle Sarno) of Rhode Island, Leanna Cavossa of Rhode Island, Codi Boucher (Danielle) of Rhode Island, Cori Boucher (Samantha) of New York and Daniel J. Moore of Milford; his great grandchildren, Davyn, Gianna, Tessa of Emma, RJ, Alina, Rian, Ashton, Sarkis, Isabella, Dexter, Alijah, Kaiden, Charli, Anthony, Aria, Josie, Jolene, Mira, Michael and Mateo; and his siblings, Marion Farmer (Jack) of Foxboro, Anthony Cavossa (Joyce) of Foxboro, Rosamond Davis of Attleboro, Theresa Pacella of Foxboro and Annette Seppala (Jon) of Cape Cod.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home (33 Cottage St., Pawtucket, RI 02860). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (1 Church Square, Franklin, MA 02038).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to: The Franklin Food Pantry or the Franklin Elks Lodge Veterans Fund.
