He was predeceased by: his parents, Valerian Schmidt and Mary Schmidt (Luma); and his siblings, Jerry Schmidt and Joyce Meadows. He is survived by: his spouse Stefanija Schmidt (Ficker); his children, Brent Schmidt of Franklin and Amanda Schmidt of Franklin; his daughter-in-law Suzanna Schmidt; his brothers, David Schmidt, Steve Schmidt and Andy Schmidt of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Elanor and Miriam.
