She was predeceased by: her parents, Max C. Race and Edith L. Race (Sawicki); and her son Joseph O'Malley. She is survived by: her husband John S. Dower of Gardner; her children, Nichole Leazott (George) of Royalston, Maxine Sexton (Stacy), Max F. O'Malley (Jamie) of Gardner and Patrick O'Malley; her stepdaughters, Jacquelyn Larcenaire (Paul) and Jennifer Davis (Ethan); and her grandchildren, Katelyn, Adriana, Gabrielle, Zachary, Charlie, Hunter, Emma, Meagan, McKenzie, McKayla, Moon, Jillian, Amanda, Ashley, Kyle and Kevin. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Winchendon American Legion Post 193 (295 School St, Winchendon, MA 01475).
