It is with sadness that the passing of Robert J Bettez Sr. of Gardner, Massachusetts is shared. Robert, born on November 10, 1944 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away on October 28, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo J. Bettez and Lottie Bettez (Fournier); his siblings, Paul Bettez, Katherine O'Connell, Janet Lott and Marie Callahan; his granddaughter Faith Bettez; and his great grandchild Charlie Tyros.
He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Bettez (Fredette); his children, Robert J. Bettez Jr. (Rhonda), Lisa Ellis (Michael), David Bettez (Laura), Matthew Bettez (Serena) and Mark Bettez (Tina); his grandchildren, Joshua (Bridget), Sarah, Bethany, Elizabeth, Rebecca (Trent), Stephanie (George), Leonard, Kaylee (Seth), Krista, Bradley and Megan; his great grandchildren, Cecilia, Charlotte, Bennett and Katherine; and his sister Diane Raisanen (Gerald). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. (110 Nichols St, Gardner, MA 01440). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 1st 2027 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Acadien Social Club (193 Parker St, Gardner, MA 01440).
