Angela M. O'Connor Obituary

Angela M. (Mohr) O'Connor, 64 of Gloucester, MA, formerly of Rockport, MA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Addison Gilbert Hospital.

She was born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on July 10, 1957, daughter of the late Max and Elena (Lucas) Mohr.

Angela was a graduate of Rockport High School, served as Vice President for the Class of 1975, and later received her bachelor's degree in political science from University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Tireless, motivated, and passionate about her career, Angie worked as the President of the New England Power Generators Association from 2005 to 2011. Most recently, she served in Governor Charlie Baker's Administration as the Deputy Commissioner for Public Utilities from 2015 to 2019. She influenced and guided many throughout her time in these and all her previous positions and left her indelible mark on each.

Though passionate about her vocation, there was no greater joy than spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters on her beloved Rocky Neck. Angie loved spending time with "her girls" and watching them grow. She always surrounded herself with family, friends, and neighbors.

She loved cooking for everyone, sharing stories, and passionate talks about everything. Her love ran deep for all that she knew. An incredible mother, she was also Nana, friend, and "favorite Auntie Angie." Angie always cared deeply and loved fiercely; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Angela is survived by her son Brandon O'Connor, his wife Sarah and her three remarkable granddaughters, Keirah, Annabelle, and Emerson; her ex-husband Michael O'Connor ; her sisters Pamela Mohr and Kristine Jaeger; her uncle Larry and Christine Mohr; her aunt Lola Wojcik; aunt Kitty and uncle Bo Lucas, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Cole, Stephen and wife Anna, Christine Bougas and husband Matthew, Timothy and wife Carol, Patricia O'Connor, Kevin and wife Laurie, and Erin O'Connor and husband Howard Brenner; her beloved nieces and nephews, Erica and Eric Brenckle, David and Darren Wojcik, Liz Cole and Kasey Cole, Jason O'Connor and wife Michelle, Shelagh St. Laurent and husband Timothy, Justin Viator and wife Emily, Ryan Viator and wife Brittany, Michael Iarrobino and wife Christine, Adam O'Connor and wife Bryn, Kelly Wilson and husband Ernie, Samuel Brenner and Anya Brenner; as well as her great nieces and nephews, Sylvie Rose, Chiara and Jace O'Connor, Connor and Kiley St. Laurent, Julia and Evan Viator, Cruz, Taj, Max, and Niko Viator, Griffin and Malena Iarrobino and Finn and Rowan O'Connor, James Wilson; and great-great, nephew and niece, Romeo Van Tran and Isabella Rose Vergara.

Angela was predeceased by her parents, Elena and Max Mohr, her brother, Karl; uncle, Ted Wojcik, and her father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Martha O'Connor.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, Gloucester, MA on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. All attendees are required to wear face covering during Mass. The burial will be held privately.
