Antonino Testaverde Obituary
Antonino "Nino" Testaverde, 76, of Gloucester, husband of the late Francesca P. (Favaloro) Testaverde, passed away after a brief illness in Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Nino was born in Carini, Sicily on February 9, 1945, and was the son of the late Rosario Testaverde and Rosalia (Balsamo) Testaverde. He attended school in Italy before coming to America in 1967. He married his childhood sweetheart Francesca Testaverde in 1968. He dearly loved his wife and family and especially enjoyed cooking with Franca for holidays and Sunday dinners. They loved visiting their old country for vacations in Sicily with their family. Nobody could ever compare to his Arancini and pizza that he always loved to make.
He loved relaxing and watching his favorite movies, like mob movies, such as The Godfather, Casino, and Scarface.
He is predeceased by his wife Francesca (Franca) Testaverde and sister Michaela (Mela) Testaverde.
He is survived by his brother Lorenzo Testaverde, Rosalia Vitale and their four children; his three daughters, Rosalia Testaverde and her companion, William Palmer Jr., Francesca Pallazolla and her husband Robert, and Christina Testaverde, all of Gloucester; two sons, Anthony Testaverde and his wife, Patricia Ann (Dutra) of Middleboro and Rosario Testaverde of Gloucester; five grandchildren, Stephany Pallazolla, Aliah Testaverde-Palmer, Daniella Pallazolla, Jaden Testaverde-Palmer and Katelynn Marie Testaverde.
His visiting hours will be held privately. Nino's funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 prospect St Gloucester on Thursday, November 18th at 10 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
