Arline J. Hunt Obituary
Arline J. (Francis) Hunt, 99, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at the Care One Newton on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. She was wife of the late Maryland J. "Merlin" Hunt.
She was born in Gloucester, MA on March 19, 1922, daughter of the late Jesse V. and Josephine C. (Mitchell) Francis. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School.
Arline worked for many years as the secretary Registrar for the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
She was an avid camper and crisscrossed the country with her husband right up til the week before he died. She also enjoyed
taking trips all over with her sister Clo and was an avid painter of oils, pencil and charcoal having painted over 100 paintings.
She is survived by two sons, Merlin J. Hunt Jr., Timothy J. Hunt and his wife Laurie; beloved grandchildren, Haleigh M. Lampert and her husband Chad, Keith C. Hunt, Lane M. Keyes and his husband John, Kevin T. Hunt and wife Kathy and their children Taylor and Patrick; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Roman, Meadow, Maxwell and Cameron; her brothers-in-law, Paul Shea, Leo Shea; sister-in-law, Clotilde Witham brother-in-law Leo L. Francis and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Carl F. Hunt; sisters-in-law, Jean Hunt, Mabel Bradly and Angelina Sutherland.
Her Graveside Service will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. Relative and friends are cordially invited to attend. There will be no visiting hours.
