Carol A. Burns Obituary
Carol Ann Burns, 78, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from complications due to Parkinson's disease.
She was born in Gloucester, MA on July 1, 1945, daughter of the late James T. and Mary (Figurido) Burns. Carol was a graduate of St. Ann's School. After completing secretarial school at Katherine Gibbs, she immediately began working as a key punch operator in the office of Jordan Marsh Co. In 1981, she changed careers and began training to become an EKG technician at Addison Gilbert Hospital. Being voted July Employee of the Month one year, her coworkers.
Said, "Carol is always professional and friendly with other employees and patients."Carol was a devout Catholic and belonged to Holy Family Parish and attended both St. Ann's Church and Our Lady of Good Voyage Church. She took part in many of the organizations and activities including pilgrimages to Italy.
Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In her memory, we ask that you do something kind for others.
She leaves many cousins from the Figurido Family.
In keeping with her wishes, services will be held privately.
