Carol G. Patry Obituary

Carol Greve Patry, 94, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Patry, who was the love of her life.

She was born on December 8, 1930, in Euclid, Ohio to George and Adelaide (Small) Greve. She had a wonderful childhood growing up near the shores of Lake Erie and attending summer camp. She was a proud graduate of Bowling Green University from which she earned a B.S. in Education. She went on to teach high school physical education before marrying and shifting her focus to raising her family.

Carol had an incredible positive outlook on life and was a role model for all. She was compassionate and supportive to everyone in her life. Carol had many varied interests in her life from the simple: swimming, cross-stitch, and playing cards to the grand: world travel and precious time laughing with family and friends. Carol loved New England and found many years of joy in her former hometown of Narragansett, RI.

Carol is survived by her son, Paul M. Patry and his partner Joan Harvey of Garrettsville, OH, Matthew J. Patry and his wife Renee of Parkman, OH and Michele Y. Notte and her husband John of Gloucester, MA. She was predeceased by her daughter, Navarre A. Patry, of Narragansett. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Matthew Patry, Andrew Patry, Nicholas Notte, Isaac Notte, and Moon Notte as well as her great grandson, Liam Davis. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

A private family mass will be said in her honor at a later date.

The family does invite those who knew and loved Carol to raise a martini glass in her memory.
