Catherine M. Cabral Obituary
Catherine M. Cabral, 75, of Gloucester, passed away on February 26, 2022, in the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers, MA. Cathy was born in Gloucester, MA on March 6, 1946, and was the daughter of the late George V. and Edna D. (Rich) Cabral.
People may know Cathy as the owner of Cathy's Coffee Shop on East Main Street that was there for many years. Cathy loved traveling to California to visit family. She loved going to Foxwood with her friends, but mostly loved watching her Red Sox; that was her "Do not disturb" time. She also loved when her family came to visit.
She is survived by her sister Pauline Santapaola and her husband James A. Santa Paola Sr. of Gloucester; sister, Sharon Cabral Porter; brothers Walter Cabral and his companion Gayla Decoste, Gary Cabral and his wife Tina; brother-in-law Dana Brown; nieces and nephews, Amanda and Andy Santapaola, Elliott Morris and Kelly Tocco, Walter Cabral Jr., Brian and Dana Brown, Mathew and Mary Cabral, Sharon and Mike Cabral, Donna Cabral and many great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, George, Albert, David; sister Edie Brown; nieces, Kim Perrine, Pam Mazzeo, Tammie Shatford, David Cabral Jr., Daniel Cabral, Jim Santapaola Jr. and Brandi Cabral.
Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 9-11 am. A service will follow in Greely's at 11 am. Family and friends are cordially invited. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester.
