We announce the death of Charles H. Bishop of Gloucester, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bishop and Lillian Bishop (Dougherty). He is survived by: his sons, Harrell Excavating Sand and Gravel; his wife Marjorie Bishop (Roberts) of Gloucester; his children, Charles Bishop, Jr. Bishop (Jo-Ann (LoPiccolo)), Tammy Wilson (Jim Wilson), Bonnie Martin (Eric Martin) and Robert Bishop (Carmela (Petruzziello) Bishop); his grandchildren, Tanya Harrell (Ben Leslie), Sarah Elwell (Nick Elwell), Jessica Lowell (Lauren Kelly), Natasha Martin (Jake Phelps) and Breana Martin (Brendon O'Keefe); and his brother Eugene Bishop. He is also survived by 4 great grandsons; several cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home of Cape Ann (61 Middle St, Gloucester, MA 01930). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Beechbrook Cemetery (401 Essex Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930).
